Carrots are fairly easy to grow.  They do not need to be grown in greenhouses.  The soil in the garden will need to be dug first and then raked very fine.  The carrot seeds can then be sown in rows and covered lightly with the soil.

When the carrots begin to grow it’s a good idea to thin them out so that each carrot has space to develop.  Also weeds will need to be removed on a regular basis otherwise they can take over.

Young baby carrots are very sweet and tasty.  Carrot tops can also be used in cooking or make a good treat for rabbits.
